A quick thank you to Stance-snow ski school and especially to Sebastian, from the Tutt family. The children had a great week over Christmas and have improved fantastically with their skiing. We’re grateful to Seb for his patience and fun attitude during the whole week. It was really great.

Just a quick note to say thank you very much for your time and patience with me, taking me off-piste for the first time. I was delighted that we had excellent conditions with what seemed like three feet of powder snow! Your teaching style was great, but I think it was your infectious enthusiasm that really made the session. Oli,
I thought I would email to say thank you for your help last week. You quickly realised that I didn't (unlike my husband) want to go down reds and blacks. Your patience and gentle encouragement were just what I needed. Your focus on the basics gave me a lot more confidence in my ability and meant that I was able to spend the rest of the week enjoying the skiing.

Just a quick note to say thank you. The lessons were great and both Tina and I really enjoyed the whole 3 mornings. I suppose it helped with all the powder, but we've never had such good conditions, and we learnt so much more. We will definitely recommend Stance Snow to any of our friends who visit Alpe D'Huez.

Off Piste Ski sessions : 17th to 22nd January 10

Hi Seb,
I would like to say a big thank you again for a wonderful taste of off piste in Alpe d’Huez last week. While my technique was a bit erratic to say the least, I have definitely got the bug and will try to take any opportunity to go off piste as and when I can in the future (with the right guide and equipment of course). You were a great teacher and guide and I will definitely look you and Oli up when I am next in Alpe d’Huez!

Just a quick note to say thanks again to Seb for all his patience with me last week. The lessons really did help, having one day off between each lesson was really good, as it meant that had time to try to put into practice what I had been taught. By the end of the week I really did feel as I though I'd improved, and felt more confident and most of my turns were better - maybe one day I'll get a bit faster too! Seb said I was a challenge - and we spent most of the time trying to get me to do a heel to toe turn properly - but that was great as I really needed the extra time to try to reverse a bad habit and turn properly.

Hi Oli,
Just to say a big thank you again for your patience and encouragement in my lessons last week. After only 2 lessons with you I can now link turns and did some blue runs. I had never expected to go from never snowboarding before to blue runs in a week!
James also had a fantastic time on his off-piste lesson with you; he still hasn't stopped talking about it!

Hi Oli,
I have just returned from a fantastic weeks skiing in Alpe D’Huez with my 2 sons (aged 11 and 9) who were on their 2nd week on skis and can highly recommend Stance who were excellent value for money. We had 2 brilliant 3 hour sessions with Oli who is an outstanding instructor – hugely knowledgeable, very patient, great fun and genuinely a fluent English speaker. All our skiing improved immeasurably and we tackled the Sarenne in a blizzard the day after our last session with confidence.

Dear Seb,
I have been proudly telling anyone who is prepared to listen that I have just learnt to ski at the tender age of 51! Basically, this is entirely down to your gentle tuition and painless drawing out from me the necessary skills to achieve a controlled turn. I had plenty to practice after 4 hours with you, and on the last day our group took me up to stage 2 of the DMC and I came down the blue run! Harry did it too.

I had a wonderful time in Alpe d'Huez, and look forward to returning one day. I cannot recommend your teaching style more highly; accurate direction and patient encouragement.

Hello Seb,
I just wanted to send a mail to thank you so much for the lessons I had with you last month! They were a great start to my holiday and gave me an incredible boost in confidence! By the end of the week I was able to go down a full green run from the Gondola (and I only fell once at the bottom of the slope!) so was very pleased with the progress I managed to make in just six days.

The bruises have finally started to fade and I’m already looking forward to boarding again next year!
